Google relaunches CC as a shared AI household assistant
Families can now share a single CC account to coordinate calendars, tasks and everyday logistics.
Google is relaunching CC as a shared AI household agent with its own Google Account that up to six people can collaborate with, focused on coordinating family logistics. CC aggregates emails, calendar items and tasks that each member explicitly shares, then generates a daily “Your Day Ahead” brief and maintains shared Calendars and Task lists. It can also carry out actions like pre-filling registration PDFs, creating shopping lists and meal plans, and generating Docs and Sheets, using Gemini models and Google’s Antigravity agent framework under the hood. Each member controls what data they share via auto-forwarded senders, one-off messages, Drive folders, or Calendar access, and CC won’t act or share information outside the group without permission. The updated CC is available as an early Google Labs experiment on web and mobile for US users 18+ with personal Google accounts, with existing users being prompted to upgrade and new users able to join a waitlist.

Instead of each person tracking their own emails and reminders, up to six household members can see one daily brief, shared calendars and task lists, and let CC handle chores like filling forms or building shopping lists. Because everyone controls what they share and CC will not act outside the group without permission, it is designed to support coordination without giving the agent blanket access to personal data.
