Meta's Muse AI adds spaces, app-like pages built from a description

Muse users can now have the assistant build and keep updated personal pages, and Meta is exploring how spaces can be shared.

Meta has added a feature called spaces to its Muse AI app, letting users describe an app-like page and have the assistant build it inside Muse. Examples include a shopping hub, school dashboard, music tracker and trivia game, all usable directly in the app. Users who connect services such as Gmail, Google Calendar, OpenTable or Notion let the assistant refresh details like prices and dates in the background, and they can tick items off, add notes and edit content in place. Spaces can be pinned to the sidebar, moved to the main tab or scheduled to appear at set times. Meta is rolling spaces out to all Muse users now and is exploring ways to share them and collaborate, and it is also bringing Active Memory and Active Focus from its Muse Wonder model into Muse and Meta AI.

Why it matters

The change moves Muse from answering questions toward maintaining everyday pages for its users, such as planners and trackers that refresh details from connected services like Gmail, Google Calendar and Notion. Because spaces can be scheduled to appear at set times, they can surface when a person needs them rather than waiting to be opened. Meta's plans to share spaces and bring Active Memory and Active Focus into Muse and Meta AI suggest the feature is meant to become a shared, persistent part of the assistant rather than a one-off tool.
