OpenAI brings GPT‑Live‑style voice workflows to ChatGPT mobile

OpenAI is rolling out new voice-driven “agentic” capabilities to the ChatGPT mobile app so users can trigger workflows like drafting documents or summarizing emails by speaking. Plus and Pro subscribers get a new Work tab on mobile that can generate documents and emails, summarize Slack messages, build websites, create presentations, use a cloud browser and tap into finance-related tools. Free and Go users gain access to plugins and connected apps, but not the full Work feature set. Voice conversations in ChatGPT are being upgraded with richer text output and a smoother switch between voice and text, and sessions can now move seamlessly from mobile to desktop. The update mirrors GPT-Live–powered voice workflows that were previously limited to the desktop app’s Work and Codex tabs, extending similar capabilities to mobile users.
