Arc Raiders publisher adds its own machine-learning anti-cheat layer
Embark is tightening penalties and adding account and hardware limits as it tries to make cheating harder to repeat.
Embark Studios says it is expanding Arc Raiders’ anti-cheat system with its own machine-learning models, adding to Denuvo’s kernel-level protection and Anybrain’s AI detection. The studio says those systems are being used together to flag suspicious behavior before it acts, while it keeps improving detection as new cheats appear. It is also making punishments stricter: cheating now brings a permanent ban, with no warnings or second chances. To stop ban evasion, Embark has begun tying game copies to accounts accused of cheating and says it is working on hardware bans that it hopes to roll out later this year.
Why it matters
For Arc Raiders players, cheating is moving from a warning-and-repeat problem to a stricter enforcement model. The studio is also closing off easy account switching and preparing hardware bans, which means people caught cheating should find it harder to keep coming back under a new profile or copy of the game.
