Gemini Notebook adds a review step for Slide Decks and Video Overviews
Users can now shape the outline and style before Notebook renders the final slide deck or video.
Google says Gemini Notebook is getting a more hands-on creation flow for Slide Decks and Video Overviews, giving users more control before anything is rendered. The new process lets people start in chat, have Notebook propose topics from their sources, then refine the plan, visual style, and format before generating the final artifact. A new Review toggle adds a studio-panel step where users can inspect outline or producer notes and request changes such as adding an executive summary or reordering a scene. The company says these co-creation features are rolling out worldwide to all Gemini Notebook users over the next week, while the old faster, skip-review path remains available.
Why it matters
The change gives Notebook users more say over the structure of the final output, instead of waiting until after generation to adjust it. That should make the tool better suited to people who want the result to follow their sources more closely, while still leaving the faster direct path in place for those who do not need review.
