NVIDIA shows local AI hardware for Windows laptops, desktops and workstations in Europe

The biggest change is that agents can now run entirely on a personal machine, keeping user data on the device.

NVIDIA used its GTC Berlin event to show a full set of local AI hardware, spanning consumer Windows laptops, developer desktops and enterprise workstations. RTX Spark laptops, released October 16, run personal agents on Windows, with Underdog's fully on-device desktop agent now available for them and several vendors shipping systems. DGX Spark gains a 64GB configuration rolling out from partners on October 23, and clusters of up to eight units can now be linked through NVIDIA Sync for larger models and shared team backends. DGX Station adds seven IT management integrations for enterprise deployment, and a Windows edition is slated for December from system partners.

Why it matters

For people who use AI on their own computers, the news means a choice between cloud services and models that run locally. Underdog's desktop agent, now available for RTX Spark laptops, keeps everything on the device so user data never leaves the PC. Larger teams gain a route to shared local capacity, since DGX Spark systems can be linked in clusters of up to eight units. Enterprise users of DGX Station are offered a Windows edition later this year, which widens where that kind of hardware can sit.
