SpaceX revenue jumps as AI business becomes the main driver
The company’s latest filing points to a shift in how it makes money, with AI-related income now the largest share.
SpaceX’s third-quarter filing showed a sharp revenue jump to $14.6 billion, and the company tied much of that increase to its renamed AI-focused Super Intelligence business. The filing said Super Intelligence brought in $7.6 billion, up 830% year over year, while Connectivity generated $5.2 billion and Starlink reached 13.6 million consumer subscribers. SpaceX also said the quarter included $4.4 billion in net income, reversing a $1 billion loss from the same period last year. The results suggest the company is increasingly being valued for its AI and infrastructure businesses, not just rockets and satellite internet.
Why it matters
The filing shows SpaceX is no longer being defined mainly by rockets and satellite internet. With AI-related business now accounting for 52% of its income and Super Intelligence bringing in $7.6 billion, the company’s earnings mix has changed in a way that matters to investors and anyone tracking how its business is being valued.
