Vite+ 1.0 arrives with GitLab CI support and new workflow tools
The stable release broadens where the toolchain fits into existing workflows and adds more visibility for setup and Git hooks.
VoidZero has released Vite+ 1.0, the first stable version of its bundled JavaScript toolchain, and the update matters because it consolidates runtime, package management, testing, linting, formatting, and build tooling behind one command and config. The release now supports GitLab CI/CD through the setup-vp action, is also available via Homebrew and Docker, and extends migration support to tsup projects while showing its migration plan before it edits anything. VoidZero also added vp toolchain, vp env doctor, vp hooks, and vp staged to improve visibility and Git-hook workflows around the packaged toolchain. Under the hood, Vitest 5 is stable, Vite 8.1 expands Bundled Dev Mode experiments, and Oxc now has native React Compiler support that VoidZero says is 10 times faster than the Babel plugin it replaces. VoidZero says 1.0 is a stability milestone rather than the end state, with remote caching, deeper monorepo diagnostics, vp release, and vp docs still planned.
Why it matters
For teams already using Vite+, the stable release makes the packaged toolchain easier to adopt in more environments, including GitLab CI/CD, Homebrew and Docker. The new migration support for tsup projects and the added toolchain, environment, hook and staged commands also reduce guesswork around setup and Git-based workflows, while VoidZero signals that the platform will keep expanding after 1.0.
