Adobe tunes Photoshop and Premiere for NVIDIA RTX Spark PCs
The rebuilt apps are meant to make local AI work and editing faster on Windows laptops and small desktops built on RTX Spark.
Adobe says it rebuilt Photoshop, Premiere, and Substance 3D to run better on NVIDIA’s RTX Spark PCs, which matters for creators and developers who want faster local AI and editing on Windows laptops and small desktops. The company says the tuned apps are twice as fast for AI tasks and cross-workflow editing, with Photoshop gaining more responsive rendering and real-time effect previews, Premiere getting faster rendering, effects, AI-assisted editing, and color work, and Substance 3D Painter speeding up texture-heavy steps. RTX Spark is NVIDIA’s new Arm-based SoC for Windows systems, pairing Grace CPU cores, Blackwell GPU hardware, and up to 128GB of unified LPDDR5x memory to handle AI, creative work, and gaming on-device. Microsoft is also adapting Windows around the platform with Prism emulation, memory tuning, and a new Get Started flow for AI agents, while several apps and games are being readied for launch support.
Why it matters
For creators using RTX Spark systems, Adobe’s apps are intended to cut wait time across the tasks they do most, from Photoshop previews to Premiere rendering and color work. That makes the platform more useful for people who want to keep more of their creative work on-device, while Microsoft is also adapting Windows around the same hardware with a new flow for starting AI agents.
