Anthropic launches $100 million academy to train enterprise AI engineers

The program aims to prepare 10,000 people to move Claude deployments into real company use by the end of 2027.

Anthropic has launched Claude Frontier Academy, a $100 million program aimed at training 10,000 Frontier Deployed Engineers by the end of 2027. The company says the first cohorts include engineers from Accenture, Bain, Capgemini, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Deloitte, McKinsey, Morgan Stanley, and Novo Nordisk. The residency starts with a multi-day in-person course, then a 12-week stint on a real Claude deployment at the participant’s employer, with the first badge holders expected in early 2027. Anthropic positions the effort as a way to fill a shortage of people who can move enterprise AI from pilot projects into production systems and business change.

Why it matters

Anthropic is trying to build the scarce middle layer between AI pilots and day-to-day business use. That matters for large employers because the first cohorts already span consulting, banking and industrial companies, and the training is tied to real deployments rather than classroom exercises. If it works, more organizations will have people able to take Claude from trial work into production settings.
