TFG London cyber incident affects Phase Eight, Hobbs and Whistles systems
TFG London is still checking for any customer data exposure while its stores stay open and some online functions may be affected.
TFG London says a cyber incident has hit IT systems tied to Phase Eight, Hobbs, and Whistles, forcing it to investigate whether customer data was touched while stores stay open. The company says it detected the attack on October 11, brought in external security specialists, and is still checking whether any personal information was exposed. In a separate development, H&M says it is reviewing claims from a group calling itself ShinyHunters but has not seen signs that its data environment was compromised. The timing follows ASOS, which was recently breached through a social-engineering attack that led to customer data exposure and a push-notification ransom message.
Why it matters
For customers, the key question is whether any personal information was exposed, and TFG London has not answered that yet. The incident has already reached the IT systems behind three retail brands, while stores remain open, so the immediate impact is limited to parts of its online operations. H&M is also reviewing a separate claim but says it has not found signs that its data environment was compromised.
