Zenzap raises $44M to push its AI workplace messenger

The funding gives Zenzap more room to challenge consumer chat apps inside companies.

Zenzap has raised $44 million to push its AI workplace messenger as an alternative to consumer chat apps that many companies still use for internal communication. The startup says its product combines messaging with task and calendar tools, AI search, transcription, and workflow agents, while offering paid plans starting at $51 per month for up to 20 users. It already counts customers such as FedEx, Dollar General, Taco Bell, Starbucks, Casey’s, and Regal, and it says 50 employees are spread across the U.S., Tel Aviv, and Europe. Founder Guy Weiss said he bootstrapped the company at first, but Bessemer partner Adam Fisher persuaded him it needed venture backing to scale.

Why it matters

For companies still relying on consumer messengers for internal chat, the raise helps Zenzap back a product built for workplace use rather than personal messaging. Its customer list and distributed team suggest it is already operating at a scale that could make it more visible in enterprise communication choices.
