AnyPS5 hits full coverage of tracked PS5-era GPU instructions

The project is closer to native PC support for some PS5 games, but its compatibility list still shows only one verified playable title.

AnyPS5 has reported full coverage of its tracked PS5-era AMD RDNA shader instruction set, a milestone that moves the project closer to native PC support for some PlayStation 5 games. The open-source effort is not a conventional emulator: it relinks PS5 executables into native Windows or Linux binaries, then supplies reimplemented system libraries and translated GPU code. Even with the shader breakthrough, the project still has major gaps, including only 84.69% implementation across its tracked system-library functions and just one confirmed playable game, Dreaming Sarah. The tracker also shows that progress is uneven elsewhere, with network, graphics, audio, memory management and other subsystems still needing substantial work before more demanding titles can run well.

Why it matters

For PS5 game support on PC, the shader milestone removes one of the bigger technical gaps in AnyPS5’s tracked GPU work. But the project still has limited system-library coverage and only one confirmed playable game, so the change is progress toward broader compatibility rather than evidence that many titles can run today.
