Bluesky opens Attie to websites, games and other shared experiences
The app is moving beyond custom feeds, with creations tied to AT Protocol and private data support and payments on the way.
Bluesky is broadening Attie so people can use it to create websites, games, polls, quizzes, and other small shared experiences, not just AI-built social feeds. The company says those creations will run on AT Protocol and can be connected to a creator’s Bluesky identity, with Attie also suggesting ideas from public profiles. Bluesky also said private data support is in alpha now and should ship by the end of the year, a capability developers had been asking for. Separately, the company plans to add payments in the coming months so people can buy, sell, and raise money across the network without depending on ads. Bluesky says its 47 million registered users and its decentralized setup are part of why it wants new creation and monetization tools to work across the wider ecosystem, not only inside one app.
Why it matters
For people using Bluesky, Attie is shifting from a feed-making tool to a broader creation layer that can sit alongside their identity on the network. That makes it easier for new kinds of small public projects to live across the AT Protocol rather than staying inside one app, while private data support and payments expand what developers and creators can build and how they can be used.
